About Baba Ramanand Ji
Lord Vishnu took Avtaar as Ramanand in the house of Baba Sai Das ji. It was due to the vardaan given to Narottam Das (Baba ji in his previous birth) who worshipped Lord Narayan for the entire life. Avtaar Ramanand ji was a miraculous kid. He used to demonstrate great knowledge about spirituality. Even big pandit also used to be surprised on his knowledge. Very soon he became very famous and loved one for the entire village just like Lord Krishna was for his village. Avtaar Ramanand ji used to take cows for feeding. One day, he went through fields of one farmer and cows ate plants / fodder of the field. Farmer got very upset and went to complaint to Baba Saidas ji about Avtaar Ramanand ji. When Baba Saidas ji and other villagers went to that field they all were surprised to see that the field was intact, instead in better condition. One fine day, Avtaar Ramanand ji called his friends and took them to a nearby place. He narrated them a story and told that there used to be a divine pool called Brahmasar Sarovar which vanished with time. All of them worked and dig the sarover. Lord Vishnu had told to Shree Narottam Dass that he will take birth in his house for 12 years and Narottam should not get him marry. Accordingly, on attaining 12 years of age, Shree Ramanand ji went to the Sarovar and immersed himself, leaving a (BERI) stick in the ground. Mata Sushila ji was inconsolable to the news of Shree Ramanad ji. One day Shree Ramamand ji came to her dream and told her to come to the sarovar and meet him with a condition of not disclosing this to anyone else. Next day she went to sarovar and met Shree Ramanand ji, this continued for few days. Somehow, she revealed this to villagers and then Shree Ramanand ji immersed forever. Avtaar Ramanand ji immersed in Narsingh chodash (14th day of Indian calendar) and since then the monthly ritual of jyoti prachand (Jyoti Enlightenment) started.
